Srinagar: Former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah hoped that Prime Minister Narendra Modi attends the oath-taking ceremony of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s chief Imran Khan.
Mr Abdullah said if Nawaz Sharief, the then Prime Minister of Pakistan, could attend the oath-taking ceremony of Mr Modi in 2014, surely the Indian PM can do the same in 2018 if invited by Imran.
He was reacting to reports that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)is considering inviting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Imran Khan’s oath-taking ceremony.
“I hope he does & I hope PM Modi accepts. If Nawaz Sharief could attend in 2014 surely Modi ji can do the same in 2018,” Mr Abdullah, who is the vice president of National Conference (NC), wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
