Srinagar: The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) as part of it’s Assembly Wise organizational review in Kashmir province, held detailed discussions with Party delegations from various assembly segments at Party headquarters today and evaluated the current situation both social and political obtaining on the ground.
The Party is planning to devise an effective mechanism to reach out to people inorder to ensure that their grievances of “whatever nature” are addressed, as that, there is a great disillusionment among the general masses in the State especially in Kashmir valley.
Congress Party delegations from Sonwar, Eidgah, Pampore, Tral and Pulawma comprising of Senior Party Leaders and workers called on JKPCC President G.A. Mir and other Senior Leaders, apprising them about the ground situation in their segments, besides the difficulties confronting people.
They also apprised the leadership about the discrimination with the people in respect of development and other pressing issues concerning people, saying that the previous regime led by PDP inorder to settle political scores halted the development in their areas to crush the genuine voice of opponents to hide their failures.
They emphasized the leadership to take up their grievances at highest level for redressal, as that, they have suffered immensely due to the negligent attitude of previous PDP BJP Govt in the State.
Speaking on the occasion J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir said PDP BJP due to their wrong approach vitiated the atmosphere in the valley, first they contested elections against each other, then they aligned by sacrificing the urges and aspirations of the people both in Jammu and Kashmir.
The propaganda unleashed by both PDP BJP against each other in 2014 Elections subsequently the formation of the Govt came as a shock to people, for the fact, people have voted against BJP, but this Party PDP aligned with the communal forces for the sake of power.
Mir reminded the PDP specially Mehbooba Mufti of her poll promise and commitments she had made with people, saying that PDP Chief is now targeting BJP over topping of the Govt, but will She explain to people as to why she formed the Govt after the death of his father Mufti Mohd Sayeed, what forced her to form the Govt again with the BJP, Mir questioned and said PDP has lost trust of the people, although they can go to any extent for power, but will never win back the trust of the people, he added.
He exhorted the Party Cadres to remain steadfast to serve the people to the best of their ability
On this occasion MLA Vice President PCC Haji Ab. Rashid Dar & Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat, Ex. Minister Khemlata Wakhloo, Gen Secretary Surinder Singh Channi and others were present on this occasion. (KNS)
