Srinagar: While expressing hope that the Prime Minister-elect of Pakistan Imran Khan will intensify the campaign of highlighting Kashmir issue in world forums and seek its resolution, conglomerate of local militant outfits United Jehad Council leader Syed Salahuddin Monday passed on good wishes to Khan for his victory in Pakistan General elections.
As per a statement to local news gathering agency CNS, Salahuddin, while chairing a high-level meeting of the UJC at Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PaK) said that he as well as people of Kashmir are hopeful that Imran Khan will deliver goods and will prove an effective leader. He said the way Imran Khan mentioned Kashmir in his victory speech is praiseworthy. .
“Kashmiris are being oppressed and the world is watching as a mute spectator,” he said.
Salahuddin said Pakistan is the main stakeholder in the Kashmir dispute and expressed hope that the country under the leadership of Imran Khan will adopt a robust policy on political and diplomatic fronts to find a justifiable solution to the long-pending Kashmir dispute.
