Kulgam: The killing of two militants in South Kashmir yesterday sparked a complete shutdown in Khudwani, Qaimoh and adjoining areas on Thursday.
The shutdown was observed to mourn the killing of the two militants including a local Binyamin Dar.
Binyamin Yousuf Dar alias Bilal Molvi, a resident of Khodweni area in Kulgam district was killed alongwith his associate, Abid Hussain Bhat, son of Wali Muhammad Bhat, a resident of Suzan village in Doda district in Anantnag during a gunfight with government forces.
Local sources said that all shops and other business establishments remained shut while traffic also remained off the roads in Khudwani, Qaimoh areas of Kulgam district.
Partial shutdown was also observed in Kulgam town.
