Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party Monday said that party vice president Sartaj Madni resigned to give free hand to Mehbooba Mufti to revamp the party.
When contacted party Spokesperson Rafi Ahmed Mir said that there is a separate forum for disciplinary Committee that may initiate action against the disgruntled party leaders.
Mir in response to a question said that it is an old story from some disgruntled party members that they can form the government. “So far we have not initiated any action against these members who issue anti-party statements but the party disciplinary committee may initiate any action in coming days,” he said adding that these belligerent members are still part of party.
