Srinagar/July, 22: Three militants were Sunday morning killed in a gunfight with the government forces in Wani Mohalla in Khudwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam District.
Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid said bodies of three militants were recovered from the gunfight site. The identity of the slain militants was not immediately known.
An army spokesman in Srinagar also confirmed the killing of three militants.
In a tweet, Vaid said the militants were responsible for the killing of a police constable Mohd Saleem of Kulgam whose body was recovered yesterday from Kulgam.
Saleem was abducted by the militants from his home in Kulgam district on Friday night
