Kulgam: A police constable who was abducted by suspected militants late last night was found dead Saturday in Qaimoh area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The body of Muhammad Saleem Shah, son of Abdul Gani Shah was recovered near ghat at Odipora in Qaimoh Saturday afternoon, said an official. He said a group of gunmen barged inside his home at Mutalhama village late last night and abducted him.
Saleem, who was earlier working as a Special Police Officer (SPO), was recently promoted as a constable. He had come home on leave few days back from Kathua where he was undergoing training.
