Touts shown door at ARTO Office Sopore, driving licenses sent to applicant by speed post

Baramula: In last three months the rural areas in the North Kashmir’s Baramulla district the online testing for learners licenses has completely wiped out the scope for any human intervention in the license issuance procedures
Sources said that the online testing for learners license was inaugurated on May 5 and authorities have shown door to 298 touts at the office of ARTO Sopore. Just 2-4 agents of the registered transport companies are exclusively allowed to process the case only after displaying their identity cards in the neck . Even in case of registration certificates no human intervention is allowed as swab machines have been pressed into service. On Thursday this week driving test of 250 applicants was conducted and driving license will be sent to them on postal charges of Rs 50/- as instructed by the top authorities of the transport department.
