Empowered Committee clears 32 cases for regularization

Srinagar: The 3rd meeting of the Empowered Committee constituted under SRO-520 was held Wednesday under the chairmanship of the Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department, Navin K Choudhary.
The Committee cleared 32 cases for regular engagement in various Departments. Out of 32 cases, 12 cases pertain to Higher Education Department, 11 cases of Forest Department, 07 of PHE/Irrigation and Flood Control Department and 02 cases of Technical Education/Youth Services and Sports Department.
The Principal Secretary Finance conveyed his displeasure to Higher Education Department and Technical Education/Youth Services and Sports Department for sending cases without proper documents and scrutiny resulting in returning of 449 cases of Higher Education Department and 8 cases of Technical Education/Youth Services and Sports Department.
He cautioned all the Departments present to ensure that in future, the cases are submitted to the Finance Department with all the documents as prescribed under SRO-520 and preliminary scrutiny at the departmental level beforehand. He also stressed for early completion of the exercise at the departmental level and expeditious submission of cases to the Empowered Committee Secretariat for scrutiny and consideration by the Committee.
