Though Vohra administration has in two massive reshuffles in civil administration has displaced many those top officials who were placed on key positions by the previous Mehbooba led PDP-BJP coalition government but many top officials have been left untouched for unknown reason. The previous Mehbooba government despite having clear cut directions from the Jammu & Kashmir high court that Baseer Ahmed Khan should not allowed to hold any sensitive posting appointed him as Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and Khan replace an officer whose integrity is stated to be above board. Though governor N N Vohra commanding a great deal of respect for making merit and performance a yardstick for posting of officers on key position but surprisingly he is yet to displace Baseer Ahmed Khan from the position of divisional commissioner Kashmir. Interestingly in the year 2015 when Governor N N Vohra took over the reigns of power in the state after the demise of former Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed, Baseer Khan was shifted from the key position of Commissioner Sales tax to an insignificant positions keeping in the high court directions that Khan should not be given any sensitive posting in future. Divisional Commissioner Baseer Khan against whom there are strict directions from the Jammu & Kashmir. Another officer known for drawing close proximity with the previous PDP-BJP coalition government but left untouched is the incumbent Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) and the other such officer yet to be displaced is the incumbent Vice Chairman LAWWDA.

Governor N N Vohra commanding a great deal of respect for showing respect to seniority and merit is yet to bring such officers on key positions who were intentionally put on insignificant positions by the previous for the only fault of maintaining their professional integrity and political neutrality.

Interestingly almost more half a dozen IAS and KAS officers place on key positions of Deputy Commissioners and heads of several key directors have not been only left untouched but given additional charge of some other key positions and directorates. Unfortunately some of the officers given positions have been again place on more important positions despite having a poor track record in terms of merit and performance. Shocking after the imposition of governor’s rule some officer known for induction into the state service have been placed on key position by the Vohra administration. Governor N N Vohra commanding a great deal of respect for showing respect to seniority and merit is yet to bring such officers on key positions who were intentionally put on insignificant positions by the previous for the only fault of maintaining their professional integrity and political neutrality.
