Baramulla: Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have busted a module of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and arrested three hardcore active members of the outfit in this north Kashmir district, a police spokesman said here on Monday evening.
He said acting on a credible input, a joint team of security forces laid a naka at Haritar area today. During checking, a suspicious person was apprehended and during preliminary questioning, he revealed his identity as Bilal Ahmad Kaloo son of Abdul Rehman Kaloo resident of Takiabal Sopore.
Spokesman said that he is an active member of JeM and 2 grenades, a Matrix sheet of JeM outfit were recovered from his possession.
In this regard a case FIR number 65/2018 under section 7/25 A. Act, 13 ULA Act, has been registered in Police Station Tarzoo and investigation has been taken up.
Similarly, two more active members of JeM outfit were apprehended by Sopore Police with the assistance of security forces during naka checking at Yarbugh Rafiabad. They were identified as Asif Sheikh son of Ghulam Qadir Sheikh and Abdul Majeed Mir son of Ghulam Ahmad Mir, both residents of Yarbugh Rafiabad.
He said one Hand Grenade, 4 rounds of AK47 and 2 Matrix sheets of JeM Outfit were recovered from their possession. A case FIR number 92/2018 under section 7/25 A. Act, 13 ULA Act has been registered in Police Station Dangiwacha and investigation has been taken up.
