Srinagar: Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Purnima Mittal, Monday convened a meeting to discuss the rationalization of auxiliary polling stations of assembly constituencies falling in the district.
The meeting was informed that as per the election guidelines there must be a polling station within every 2 Kms and that an additional polling station must be set up wherever the number of voters exceeds 1400 within that stretch.
The ADC said auxiliary polling booths wherever required will be set up keeping in mind the observations of all concerned political parties.
Representatives of political parties and EROs of all eight assembly constituencies in the district attended the meeting.
