Sources told KNS eight party MLA’s met party president Mehbooba Mufti and held one on one discussion with her on growing dissidence in the party. The legislators advised Mehbooba to explore all possibilities to reconcile the dissident legislators for addressing their grievances genuinely.
Those who met Mehbooba today include former minister Mohammad Khalil Bandh MLA Pulwama, Zahoor Mir former MoS and MLA Pampore, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat MLA Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah MLA Tral, Noor Mohammad Bhat MLA Batamaloo, Yawar Dilawar Mir MLA Rafiabad, Aijaz Ahmad Mir MLA Wachi and Raja Manzoor MLA Karnah.
The frontline dissident leader and former minister Imran Raza Ansari told KNS “I will not attend the meeting even if invited by the party president.”
Another MLA of the party on conditions of anonymity told KNS “We wanted discussion on several party matters and the working of the government many a times in the past but were not given a chance to be heard by the party president.”
A senior PDP leader when contacted told KNS on conditions of anonymity that leaders who met today party president Mehbooba Mufti was their routine meeting with the party chief as they were insisting for meeting with the party chief for a very long time and today they were called for discussion.
