Srinagar, Jul 04 : The fate of consultants appointed by Mehbooba Mufti led PDP-BJP coalition government continues to hang in balance as Governor N N Vohra has asked the administrative secretaries of all the government departments to report on the utility of the consultants and contractual appointees for their continuation or disengagement.
Well placed sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that Chief Secretary has asked all the administrative secretaries to report on the utility of the consultants and contractual appointees engaged by the previous Mehbooba led PDP-BJP coalition government during last more than two years.
Sources said though some administrative secretaries have forwarded reports with recommendations for continuation or disengagement to the Chief Secretary’s office, the majority of administrative secretaries are buying time in forwarding their reports on continuation or disengagement of the consultants and contractual appointees working in the departments controlled by them.
A top government official on conditions of anonymity told KNS that administrative secretaries are delaying the process of disengagement of the consultants and contractual appointees to continue their proximity with the ministers of the previous PDP-BJP coalition government.
