Kulgam, Jul 02 : Annoyed with the alleged deviation from the original DPR of a New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) construction in Kulgam, the locals have approached district administration, demanding an investigation against the construction agency.
KNS Kulgam correspondent Zahoor Indraabi has reported that locals in the Khul Ahmadabad in Kulgam have stopped the construction work of New Type Primary Health Centre alleging that the construction agency had deviated from the original DPR that estimated one crore eighty seven lakh.
They alleged that as per DPR the plinth had to be raised two feet underground, however the plinth has not been raised as per the prescribe format. The locals said that any kind of negligence in the construction of the hospital may later cause a serious catastrophe therefore it was necessary for the construction agency to go as per the prescribed and approved DPR.
Kashmir News Service (KNS), when contacted Additional District Development Commissioner Kulgam Khawaja Nazir Ahmad assured of a follow investigation. He said that till an investigation is completed the work on the said structure has been stopped.
