Srinagar, Jun 29 : Police on Friday said that militants attacked an army patrol near Good Will Public School and injured three army men in Ahagam area of Keegam village in District Shopian.
In a statement issued to KNS, Police said “militants lobbed a grenade on a group of army men when they were busy opening the Good will public School Friday morning followed by the firing on army personnel. In this incident three army men sustained injuries who were subsequently evacuated to the hospital for the medical attention.”
The statement further said “Army men exercised maximum restrain to avoid any damage to civil population and students around. Police has registered case in this regard and searches to nab the militants have been initiated in the area.”
