DC chairs DLRC meeting, stresses on priority sector lending

Poonch: The quarterly meeting of the District Consultative Committee/District Level Review Committee(DLRC) for fourth quarter ending March 2018 was held here Thursday  under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad.

The DDC reviewed the performance of line departments and banks for the quarter ending against the envisaged targets of Annual District Credit Plan 2017-18.

The DC stressed upon the priority sector lending particularly agriculture, horticulture, handlooms, education etc. He directed the Lead Bank Officer and line departments to   fast track clearance of sponsored cases enable economic development at the block level.

He took strong note of low sanctioning of cases on behalf of the bank authorities and directed the line departments to report to his office if the cases are not   disposed of within prescribed period of 45 days.

The DC also reviewed the position of Deposits, Advances and CD-Ratio. Taking strong note of low Credit-Deposit Ratio/ Loan to Deposit Ratio of 27.10, the DC asked banks to increase spending on priority sector which will automatically increase CD-Ratio as it’s one of the main indicator of holistic economic growth.

The meeting discussed in detail progress and achievements made by the banks in the implementation of Government-Sponsored Schemes like PMEGP, MCC(Handlooms), Weaver Mudra, NULM, NRLM, Housing For All, SKWEEPY, DEPS, Kissan Credit Card and Artisan Credit Card.

He directed DDM NABARD to form 200 JLGs/ Women SHGs to increase the scope of community based employment opportunities at the village level.  He further directed the banks to put Advances section on fast track mode to expedite the sanctioning and disbursement of loans.

Earlier,  LDM D.K.Bali informed the meeting that around Rs 346.17 crore has been disbursed during the year 2017-18 against the target of Rs 423.95 crore Annual Credit Plan. He further informed that banks have conducted 221 awareness camps during the same financial year.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Hamid Sheikh, LDM D.K.Bali, LDO RBI, Nand Lal, DDM NABARD, Des Raj, Director RSETI, Sukhbir Singh, Cluster Head JK Bank, Rafiq Mattoo, Functional Manager DIC, Waheed Ahmed, Assistant Director Handlooms, Mohd Arshad Noomani, District Officer KVIB, Sameer Mir, Deputy Director Planning, Shamaun Ahmad and other district officers besides bankers.
