Srinagar: Governor N.N. Vohra has greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Kabir Jayanti.
In his message of felicitations, Governor observed that Bhagat Kabir’s writings influenced the Bhakti movement and his verses are found in the GuruGranth Sahib.
Bhagat Kabir had preached that God resides within a person who leads a virtuous life and treads the path of righteousness. Kabir’s teachings inspire us to live as better human beings by shunning greed, hatred and pride. The writings of this saint continue to inspire generations to work for a harmonious society which is based on equality and social justice.Governor prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
