Accountant General declares 3-day Pension Adalat open at Kargil

Kargil:  Accountant General (AG), J&K, Srinagar, Shorjio Chatterji Wednesday declared 3-Day Pension Adalat open at Syed Mehdi Memorial Auditorium Hall, Kargil.

Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC, Kargil Vikas Kundal, Deputy Accountant General, AG’s Office Srinagar, Sangeeta Purswani, Senior Accounts Officer, K L Choudhary, Assistant Director Information Kargil, Abdul Ahad Bhat, District Treasury Officer (Nodal Officer) Kargil Mohammad Hanief Tantray, DSP Headquarter, Ishtiyaq Kachoo, Chief Controller Finance, Showkat Rather, all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDO’s) of District Kargil, J&K Bank officials and a good number of Pensioners belonging to district Kargil attended the Adalat.

Addressing the gathering, the Account General thanked the district administration for facilitating the event of Pension Adalat in the district. He said the department is always at the services of all the pensioners and other accounts related issues.

Deputy Accountant General in her presentation highlighted the activities of the Department. She said the main aim of organizing Pension Adalat in the far-flung district Kargil was to aware the maximum pensioners about the problems and issues confronting by them in settling their pension cases.

During the program, she informed about the Accounts and Entitlement, compilation and Preparation of the Finance Accounts, Appropriation of Accounts and other pension-related matters.

While deliberating on methodology of settling and the problems being faced while settling the pension cases, she said in Kashmir 3, 77 percent cases were returned because of the pension cases of retiring Government servant are not submitted to A G in time and family pension cases for death in service are submitted much after the death of Government servant.

During the interactive session, queries of DDO’s Pension Sanctioning authorities and Pensioners were replied on the spot.

Further, it was asked to pensioners and Pension Sanctioning Authority to bring the cases for their Or spot settlement.
