Srinagar: The Valley journalists on Tuesday staged a protest against the assassination of veteran journalist and Editor-in-chief of ‘Daily Rising Kashmir’, Syed Shujaat Bukhari and the threat to Kashmiri journalists by BJP MLA, Lal Singh.
The journalists from different organisations including freelancers assembled at Srinagar’s press enclave and marched towards Ghanta Ghar (Clock tower) here.
The scribes were holding placards and banners reading slogans in favour of slain journalist and against Lal Singh. Protesters demanded authorities to come up with the facts about the killing of slain veteran journalist at an earliest.
