Srinagar, Jun 26: Government has ordered that all administrative secretaries, divisional commissioner, heads of departments (HoDs) and deputy commissioners shall not leave their headquarters without the prior permission of the competent authority and in case of travel outside the state prior permission of the Chief Secretary is mandatory.

An order issued from the General Administration Department said “administrative secretaries, divisional commissioners, heads of the departments and deputy commissioners are enjoined upon not to leave their headquarters without the prior permission/approval of the competent authority. As for travel outside the State, the prior permission/approval of the Chief Secretary is essential for this category of officers.

If any officer is required to leave the headquarter in connection with the official work outside the State, he/she shall obtain prior permission of the Chief Secretary two days before the scheduled visit, with reasons/justification for such visit. If the officer has to visit any part of the State in connection with official work, intimation in this regard will be made to the office of the competent authority. Further, the Administrative Secretaries/ Divisional Commissioners/Heads of Departments / Deputy Commissioners will submit a tour note of each visit meeting attended outside the State for perusal of the competent authority.
