Omar takes jibe at PDP, BJP; says they took cue from Bollywood movies to craft ‘divorce’

Srinagar: Taking a jibe at PDP and BJP for allegedly crafting their ‘divorce’ after taking cue from Bollywood movies, former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah said it is a ‘brilliant fixed match, scripted to perfection, except the audience are not fools and neither are the rest of us’.
“The PDP and BJP have been watching Bollywood movies for political strategy. This is how they have crafted their “divorce”. Brilliant fixed match, scripted to perfection except the audience aren’t fools & neither are the rest of us,” Mr Abdullah, who is the Vice President of National Conference (NC), wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Mr Abdullah also shared video clip from an old Bollywood move in which a character (king) could be heard telling kings of two other states to initiate a hoax war among themselves to arouse patriotism and  fool people to stay in power.
Meanwhile, demanding immediate dissolution of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly followed by fresh elections, Mr Abdullah said BJP could not be trusted and that the party would indulge in horse trading to form the government.
“The J&K state Assembly should be dissolved immediately & fresh elections should take place as soon as appropriate. The former DCM has admitted that BJP can’t be trusted not to horsetrade for Govt formation,” Mr Abdullah tweeted on Wednesday.
He was reacting to a statement by former deputy chief minister and senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta which reads, “I don’t think a new government will be formed anytime soon. Uncertainties are there, but we are working on something and people will get to know about it.”
“What do you mean “we are working on something”? The only “something” would be to break other parties & make up the numbers to form a BJP Govt. Has the former DCM inadvertently spilled the beans,” he asked.
The Governor rule was imposed on Wednesday in the state following chief minister Mehbooba Mufti resignation on Tuesdayafter BJP pulled out from the coalition government with the PDP.
“Story is true & @HMOIndia didn’t know about the impending demise of the BJP-PDP alliance then the fact that it caught me & my colleagues by surprise is really no big deal,” he added.
