Rajouri: Days after the abduction and killing of army soldier Aurangzeib in South Kashmir, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Monday met his family at his native village of Rajouri district.
A Defense official said that Chief of Army Staff interacted with the family members of the slain soldier and assured all possible help.
“He interacted with the family members of slain soldier and talked in length to his father. We are with the family in this time of grief and reiterate that killers of this soldier will not go unpunished,” said the official.
Aurangzeb was reportedly proceeding towards home when militants stopped the passenger cab and kidnapped him. He was subsequently killed by militant while his video before his death showing he being interrogated went viral. (CNS)
