Srinagar: Two policemen and as many civilians were injured in a militant attack near SMHS hospital in Kaka Sarai area of Srinagar.
Reports said that the militants opened fire on a police naka party, resulting in injuries to two cops and as many civilians. All the injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment, said an official.
He said the whole area has been cordoned off. However, reports said that the attackers managed to escape from the spot.
Friday’s attack comes a day after unknown gunmen killed senior journalist and editor of daily ‘Rising Kashmir’ in Srinagar’s Press Enclave. (GNS)
