DC Baramulla finalizes Shab-e-Qadr, Eid-ul-Fitr arrangements

Baramulla: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash Saturday chaired a meeting to ensure adequate arrangements for the smooth celebration of upcoming Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-fitr.  The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy commissioner Baramulla Farooq Ahmad baba, Director planning AG Malik, Tehsildars Baramulla and various District and Sectoral officers.

During the meeting, the DC impressed upon the Power Development and PHE departments to provide uninterrupted power and water supply to the people as per scheduled without any curtailment.

Moreover  R&B Department was directed to repair the link roads leading to Masjids and Eid-Gahs of the District while as Assistant Director Food supply was directed to facilitate adequate supply of essential commodities viz Rice, Atta, Sugar, LPG etc. Meanwhile it was informed that the department of FCS&CA has sufficient stock of all essentials.

Dr Naqash exhorted upon the  Executive Officers, Municipalities of Baramulla, Sopore and Pattan to ensure proper sanitation arrangements in their respective jurisdictions preferably the places of congregations  like Jamia Masjids, Khankhas, Eid Gahs and other main places as per past practice. The poultry officer Baramulla also informed the meeting that buffer stock of poultry  birds are available  besides  sale  centres have been  established at all main places of Baramulla  town  and Tehsil Head quarters.

He also Impressed upon Food supply department , Metrology and all concerned  Tehsildars to ensure market checking in their respective areas and intensify a drive against erring traders found involved in illegal trade practices, hoarding and profiteering etc and take appropriate action against the culprits under law.
