Srinagar: Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister, who arrived here Thursday on a two-day visit to the State, held discussions with Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan on various important issues relating to security management, matters relating to efficient delivery of public services and the future growth and development of the State.
Governor briefed Home Minister about the obtaining internal and external security situation, including the position along the IB and LoC, violations of the Ceasefire Agreement, and the impact of the suspension of operations by the Security Forces which was announced by the Government of India on the eve of Ramadhan, on 16 May 2018. He also briefed Home Minister about the arrangements made for the Amarnath Yatra, which begins on 28th June.
