Srinagar/June,8: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that decision on extension in ceasefire would be taken after reviewing the security and taking the views of public representatives of Jammu & to Kashmir.
Talking to reporters after meeting several public delegations in frontier district Kupwara Home Minister Rajnath Singh said’the security will be reviewed and views will be taken from public representatives before taking any decision on extension in ceasefire announced for the holy month of Ramadan’ He also said that Central Government has taken various measures for the welfare of border populations in the state. Announcing that five Battalions of IRP will be raise and 60% of the vacancies will be reserved for the people of border areas the Home Minister said ‘Many border delegations met me in Kupwara today and discussed with me measures taken by the government for the welfare of border people. They also put up some more demands which Wil considered appropriately’
