Concrete measures on to meet people’s aspirations: Sunil Sharma

Jammu: The present government is taking revolutionary measures to meet the aspirations of the people of the state said Minister for Power Development, Sunil Kumar Sharma after inaugurating additional 20 MVA, 132/33 KV transformer at Grid station Janipur, here Wednesday.

The Minister said the expectations of the people are very high, adding, focus is on optimal utilization of available resources to achieve the desired goal viz to provide uninterrupted power supply to every household in the state.

“Development is not merely on papers and positive changes can be seen on the ground”, the Minister maintained. The Minister said the augmentation of existing and creating new power infrastructure has been taken up at a massive scale to provide relief to the consumers.

He asked the PDD functionaries to win the trust of people and fill the communication gap between public and the department for successful implementation of refor

The Minister also informed that the process for the regularization and promotions of employees in PDD is on and expressed his desire to bring a policy for rewarding promotions to the employees doing exceptional work.

Sunil Sharma asked the concerned officials to adopt visionary approach and work round the clock to ensure smooth functioning of the department. He asked them to put in dedicated efforts for the benefit of the consumers.

He congratulated the Chief Engineer and the whole team for passing the test with flying colors for installation of the additional transformer in stipulated time. He   hailed the employees for putting tireless efforts to accomplish the task and encouraged them   by presenting bouquets.

The PDD Minister said the centre is providing liberal funding for the development purpose and emphasized on proper implementation of projects initiated for the welfare of the people.

Responding to demands of the employees, the Minister assured that all their genuine issues and demands will be looked into sympathetically.

Present on the occasion were Chief Engineer, Avinash Dubey, S.E Gurmeet Singh, Xen, Satpal, AEE Surinder Bhagat, AE P L Sharma, Team of JE’s including Kaneez Akhter, Indu Bala, Anuradha, Sonia Kandlay, Dinesh Jamwal, Vipul Sharma, Nishi Bala.

Ex-Corporator Sureshta Jamwal, Karan Sat Sharma and prominent citizens of the area were also present on the occasion.
