Bandipore: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Bandipora, Khursheed Ahmad Sanai Saturday convened a meeting to review the stock and supply position of essential commodities in view of ensuing Shab-i-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr. The meeting also discussed the modalities for distribution of additional one kg sugar as announced by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti as Ramadan Special.
The DDC directed Assistant Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs to ensure that every ration ticket holder, both priority and non-priority including APL category shall get one kg additional sugar within a week’s time from Saturday.
The meeting was informed that sufficient quantity of essential commodities including rice, atta, sugar, kerosene oil and LPG is available in all godowns and fair price shops of FCS&CA department across the district including border Gurez subdivision.
Meanwhile, the DDC had a separate meeting with Numberdars and Chowkidars of the district, which was also attended by Imam Jamia Maulana Khursheed Ahmad. The DDC urged upon them to cooperate with district administration in providing better public service in the district.
The DDC also urged upon them to contact concerned Tehsildars or directly DC Office in case of any complaint.
