Srinagar: Army today paid tribute to Late Sepoy Raman Kumar who slipped to death in Kashmir’s frontier sector of Uri in Baramulla district yesterday.

Late Sepoy Raman Kumar was part of an Operational Team which was serving in the formidable heights along the Line of Control in Uri and got swept away due to a landslide during patrolling. The rescue teams, through their concerted efforts, evacuated him to Rampur where he succumbed to his injuries.
Sepoy Raman Kumar was 23 years old and had joined the Army in 2014. He belonged to Village Depur of Mukerian Tehsil in Hoshiyarpur District of Punjab and is survived by his parents.
