Delegations call on Altaf Bukhari; demand early redress of grievances

Srinagar: Several delegations call on Minister for Finance, Labour and Employment Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and apprised him about various issues faced by them.

A delegation of JK Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Association lead by Nayeema Rasool Thursday called on Minister and raised various issues besides demanding increase in honorarium for workers and helpers, promotion of workers as supervisors on strict seniority basis and matriculate and middle pass helpers as workers, Providing pension, Ex-gratia, gratuity and regularization.    The minister gave patient hearing to the visiting delegations and ensured them that he will look into their demands and will fulfill their genuine demands.

A delegation of Employees Joint Action Committee lead by its President Abdul Qayoom Wani and J&K ReT Teachers Forum lead by Farooq Ahmad Tantray also called on the minister and discussed various issues faced by the employees including the pending salaries of the SSA employees.

The minister assured them that government is akin to the issues faced by the ReT teachers and assured them that their issues will be resolved in a time-bound manner. He praised the contribution of the teachers in the society and sought their support so that the issue can be resolved permanently.
