Srinagar: Suspected militants lobbed a grenade on the house of National Conference leader in Tral town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district that exploded with a bang without causing any damage to life or property.
The house belongs to Muhammad Ashraf Bhat, a former Excise Officer and the son of late NC legislator Muhammad Subhan Bhat.
Bhat family at Tral Bala according to neighbours has life long association with National Conference. Three members of the family have been so far killed in militant attacks.
Confirming the incident, a police official said that grenade blast didn’t cause any damage. “We have registered a case and investigation taken up,” he said.
Meanwhile, another grenade was lobbed at a patrolling party near circle road in Bonur area of Pulwama distict. The blast didn’t cause any damage.
