Jammu: Two-day training program of BLOs and Supervisors of the District on house to house verification of voters and verification on Hybrid BLOs App launched by the Election Commission of India was conducted on 25th and 29th of May.
1400 BLOs and Supervisor of 11 Assembly Constituencies including Nagrota, Gandhinagar, Jammu East, Jammu West, Bishnah, R.S.Pura, Suchetgarh, Marh, Raipur Domana, Akhnoor and Chhamb participated.
It was given out during the training session that motive behind house to house verification is to ensure 100% inclusion of left out voters, deletion of dead and shifted voters, correction of incorrect voters, identification of persons with disabilities and registration of prospective voters as on 01.01.2019 besides 100% photo coverage in the electoral rolls.
During the program, the BLOs were asked to ensure verification in transparent manner for 100% accuracy in the electoral rolls.
The training was imparted by Dy. District Election Officer, Zaffar Ahmed Banday, Addl. District Informatics Sanjeev Kapoor besides Electoral Registration Officers.
