Islamabad: Pakistan army has ordered an inquiry retired Lt Gen Asad Durrani for co-authoring a book ‘Spy Chronicles’ with former RAW chief A S Dulat,, Pakistan media reported on Monday.
In a tweet, Pakistan army’s spokesperson Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said Lt Gen Asad Durrani (Rtd) was called at GHQ Monday to explain his position on recently launched book ‘Spy Chronicles’. “A formal Court of Inquiry headed by a serving Lt Gen has been ordered to probe the matter in detail. Competent authority approached to place his name on ECL,” he tweeted. The recently released book, titled The Spy Chronicles: RAW, ISI and the Illusion of Peace, has been co-authored by former RAW chief A.S. Dulat and former ISI chief Lt Gen Asad Durrani. The book is said to be mainly a series of discussions conducted between the two former adversaries on a range of topics by journalist Aditya Sinha.
