Sama the daughter of jailed Shabir Shah tops CBSE’s Class 12 examination

Srinagar: Sama Shah the daughter of jailed separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah, has secured 97.8 percent marks in the 12th class examination. Shah himself currently lodged in Tihar jail is being missed his daughter and wife this time when the grand success of Samantha has brought cheers to the family.
Reports said DPS Athwajan Srinagar has topped among all the CSBE affiliated schools of the state. The school has got 99.5 percent overall results in the exams, said Pro-Vice Chairman of DPS Srinagar, Vijay Dhar.
“Around 160 students from our school have secured above 80 percent marks in the class 12th exams,” he said.
The school management and the staff have congratulated all the students for qualifying the exams with colorful marks.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the class 12 results this afternoon on the official website of the board.The pass percentage has improved from last year’s 82.02 to 83.01 per cent this year.CM congratulates Shah’s daughter for securing over 97 percent in 12th CBSE exams
‘She is an inspiration for youth of our state’
Meanwhile Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti congratulated daughter of Shabir Shah, Sama Shabir for securing 97.8 per cent marks in the class 12th CBSE examinations. Mehbooba said that her hard work and determination has helped her overcome all odds.
She added that Sama who tops CBSE exams in J&K is truly an inspiration for the youth of our state.
“Congratulations to Sama Shabir Shah for securing 97.8% marks in the class 12th class examination. Her hard work & determination has helped her overcome all odds & she is truly an inspiration for the youth of our state,” CM tweeted.
