Srinagar: A missing youth of Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district has reportedly joined Lashkar-e-Toiba militant outfit.
A picture of Nisar Ahmad Dar of Wahab Parray Mohalla holding an AK-47 rifle has gone viral on social networking websites last evening.
The youth had gone missing few days ago following which his parents filed a report with Hajin police station.
Reports said Dar was detained and booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) last year and was released only few months back.
A friend wishing anonymity alleged that Dar was forced to pick up the gun as he was “fabricated” in many false cases and was “harassed” by the police.
“The torture by the police forced him towards militancy,” he alleged.
