Kulgam: Militants on Friday attacked a police party guarding a power grid in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Reports said that a group of militants fired upon cops guarding power grid at Wanpuh area of Kulgam. The cops according to an official retaliated effectively and forced militants to retreat from the spot.
The official said that militants had appeared apparently to snatch service rifles of cops. The retaliation forced them to flee from the spot.
Reports said that a cordon and search operation was launched to nab the attackers; however, no arrests were made.
