Baramulla: Following about killing of five civilians in cross border firing in Jammu border areas the armies of India and Pakistan Thursday night exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official said that Pakistan army fired at Indian positions from automatic weapons and shelling in Kamalkote area. The shelling continued till 12:30 am, he said.
The official said that several army posts were fired at by the Pakistani army. He said that Indian army retaliated to the fire.
However, there was no immediate report of any loss of life or the property on either side.
