Bandipora: District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Bandipora, Khursheed Ahmad Sanai Wednesday asked the concerned Officers to ensure more avenues for self-employment in the district during the current financial year.
The meeting was informed that under Self Employment for Rural Entrepreneurs, Rural Employment Training Institute (RSETI) has provided training to 3875 candidates, out of which 3313 candidates have established their own income generating units and 1709 candidates have availed credit facility under different schemes from financial institutions in the district.
RSETI has also provided training to 309 candidates under PMEGP Scheme.
It was also given out in the meeting that District Administration has identified a piece of land at Nusoo Bandipora for the construction of Rural Self Employment Training Institute for providing training to youth for generating self-employment.
