Kupwara: Army on Saturday claimed to have killed four infiltrators in villagam handwara forests of North Kashmir belt. The encounter broke out between government forces and infiltrators on Friday evening in villagam handwara forests, high up in hills.
Three militants were gunned down in encounter, on Saturday, after fresh firing was reported from the spot in which one more militant was killed, taking death toll to four.
“Four bodies have been recovered, searches are on in the woods of handwara,” army claimed.
Army also claimed the recovery of AK 47 rifle and other ammunition from the possession of slain militants. “All the four seem to be foreigners but their identification is yet to be asceratained,” army said.
