Srinagar/May,19: A thick security blanket has been thrown in and around city centre Lal Chowk to disallow a protest march called by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on the eve of one day visit of the Prime Minister Narender Modi during which he is scheduled to e-inaugurate a number of key developmental project at SKICC Srinagar.
As already reported JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik called for ‘Lal Chowk Chalo’ and asked people to carry placards reading “what Kashmiri people want” to convey a message to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his visit to the state.Sleuths of police and paramilitary CRPF have erected barricades on the exit and entry points in lanes and by lanes, to foil the attempts of the proposed march.
