Srinagar/May, 17: Police on Thursday arrested Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik was arrested immediately after attending a meeting of Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) at Syed Ali Geelani’s Hyderpora residence.
“On one hand, Delhi and its supporters here announce ceasefire and say that let people observe Ramadhan peacefully, and on the other resistance leaders are being arrested on the very first day of Ramadhan,” Malik told reporters before police took him in a police vehicle.
As already reported JRL has called for protests after Friday prayers tomorrow as a mark of solidarity with the Palestinians.
They have also appealed to the “freedom-loving people” to march to the historic Lal Chowk on Saturday against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Kashmir visit.
