Anantnag/May, 15: A policeman was on Tuesday killed and another injured in a militants attack on a police vehicle in Pazalpora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district .
Reports said that head constable Abdul Rashid and Special Police Officer Bilal Ahmad were injured in the attack. Both of them were rushed to sub-district hospital Bijbehara where Ahmad was declared dead on arrival.
Rashid was referred to Srinagar after initial treatment at the hospital, said a doctor.
Using its twitter handle police said “Militants fired at police vehicle in Bijbehara . Police retaliated. One policeman injured in the process succumbed to his injury. Area under cordon. Details will follow,”
