Omar takes a jibe at Madhu Kishwar

Srinagar: Taking a jibe at academic and writer Madhu Kishwar for alleging that Omar Abdullah intervened and got a Hindu family arrested for thrashing a Kashmiri woman in the national capital, the former J&K CM said that he is super impressed with himself as he can pull strings and get people arrested by Delhi police, which is under Union Home Ministry.
“I have so much pull with Delhi police (supposedly under Union Home Minister) that sitting in Srinagar I can pull strings at the operational level & get SHOs to arrest people at my bidding. I’m super impressed with myself tonight,” Mr Abdullah, who is the working president of National Conference (NC), wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Mr Abdullah was responding to Mrs Kishwar’s tweet, which read, “Have from reliable sources- Omar Abdullah personally intervened with SHO, got Hindu family arrested under Section s 354, 354A, 323, 506, 509. Brought in sex harassment when fight over wild dogs. It started with one of the Kashmiri men slapping Hindu girl. That led to escalation.”
A video of a group of youth from Kashmir, including a woman, being assaulted with sticks by a mob in Siddharth Extension in Delhi after an argument over ‘feeding street dogs’ on the road went viral on social media sites. The Delhi Police has so far arrested four men in connection with the incident.
