Baramulla: Days after the killing of three youth in North Kashmir’s Baramulla allegedly by militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, Government Forces continue to conduct search operation and conduct raids in Old Town Baramulla.
Police sources said that combined forces comprising 46 and 52 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army, 53 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operation Group of Jammu Kashmir Police conducted raids in Drangbal Baramulla and arrested 4 militants and 7 Over Ground Workers.
Pertinently, after unidentified gunmen shot dead three youth Haseeb Nabi, Asghar Khan and Muhammad Asif residents of Jamia Mohalla Baramulla, Forces have been frequently conducting raids in Drangabal area and recently they had even busted a hideout.
A police official said that a couple of raids were conducted in Sopore and Baramulla and during these raids at least 4 militants and 7 OGW’s were picked up. He claimed that the militants were involved in the killing of three youth in Khanpora on April 30.
The official identified the militants as Nasir Ahmad Mochi, Bilal Ahmad Najar, Aijaz Ahmad Gojri and Nadeem Kalia alias Ustad while OGW’s were identified as Owais Rashid Bhat, Ozair Ahmad Bhat, Ameen Bhat, Muzamil Bashir, Sharif Bashir Bhat and Nayeem Abdulla.
The police official said that besides a pistol, they seized and Alto car (JK01J/0010) from the arrested militants.
