Pertinent to mention is the fact that killing of 16 people – including eight militants, seven civilians and a tourist .has attracted condemnation from people of all shades both within and outside the state.
On last Saturday, three militants were killed in Srinagar’s Chattabal area, besides a teenager was knocked to death by a police vehicle. Next day(Sunday) five militants and as many civilians were killed in a gunfight in Badigam village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A teen injured during Shopian clashes succumbed at SMHS hospital Tuesday, taking the death toll to 11.
