Srinagar/May, 7: Taking a jibe at Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti over her remark on last Sunday’s civilian killings in Shopian district the opposition National Conference leader and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Monday said that Kashmiris were paying with blood for her to remain CM and for “PDP & BJP to remain ‘partners in crime’.”
Omar reacted to CM’s remark on micro blogging website Twitter in which she had said: “The loss of 5 innocent civilians in Shopian serves as a grim reminder that violence is no solution to the issues that plague us. We all must unite & pull J&K out of this endless nightmare by engaging in sustained & meaningful dialogue”.
Referring to CM’s brother Tasaduq Mufti comment in which he had said “…(his party) ended up being partners in a crime (for which) an entire generation of Kashmiris might have to pay with their blood who is also state tourism minister, Omar said: “Your tweet has a hollow ring to it. At least your brother was more honest than you. This blood is the price Kashmiris are paying for you to remain CM & for PDP & BJP to remain ‘partners in crime’.”
