New Delhi/May, 7 : Ruling out CBI probe into Kathua rape and murder case, the Supreme Court on Monday transferred the trial in the case of rape and murder of the eight-year-old nomadic girl in Jammu and Kashmir to Pathankot in Punjab.
The girl’s father had moved the apex court earlier, seeking transfer of case to Chandigarh.
The Supreme Court further said that as it (Apex Court) would be monitoring the trial and no court in the country should entertain any petition in the matter.
The next date of hearing for the case in the Apex Court has been fixed on 9th July 2018.
The Crime Branch of Jammu & Kashmir Police which probed the case, filed the main charge sheet against seven persons and a separate charge sheet against a juvenile in a court in Kathua district last week.
