Reasi: In an initiative under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan to make the villages self sufficient , SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute Reasi organised Ajeevika Koushal Vikas Divas , here Saturday.
Astt. Distt. Dev. Commissioner Ramesh Chander , Anil Thakur , GM DIC , Suket Gupta, Principal Polytechnic College, B. K Sharma LDM were present on the occasion.
ADDC also visited the RSETI Bazar.
While appreciating the success stories put up by RSETI, he said the institute has helped in defeating the problem of unemployment by encouraging, training and supporting the unemployed youth to set up their own units.
The event also witnessed inauguration of new batch of Women’s Tailor course .
On the occasion, Director of the institute informed that stress is being laid on the credit linkage and settlement of the trained candidates. He further informed that out of 376 candidates trained during the year 2017-18, 117 trainees have availed loan from various banks and 265 trainees have started their own ventures.
Speaking on the occasion GM DIC , Anil Thakur apprised the youth of various Govt. sponsored schemes available for self employment.
