Shopian: Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Shopian Saturday organized a credit mela in which Rs 1.31 crore were disbursed among beneficiaries in 20 sanctioned cases under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).
Cluster Head J&K Bank, Mohammad Aslam Ganie Saturday presided over the function. Director RSETI Shopian, concerned officials and a large number of entrepreneurs were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the Cluster Head stressed for building a vibrant and enriching entrepreneurial environment in the State and congratulated RSETI for the training programme in which 20 potential beneficiaries were imparted necessary skills.
He impressed upon the participants to hone their skills to match the market demands. He also highlighted the importance of training programmes structured for budding beneficiaries.
He said prudent business principles, sound commercial practices, effective marketing strategies, and upgrading skills to latest technology and innovations are must to develop successful entrepreneurship culture.
